Tell us a bit about your story? What defines you?

As a child my life was challenging, I was sexually abused and had a difficult relationship with my family! They tried to help me but I had never spoken about what had happened to me! After trying to be brave and holding it together I started self destructing taking drugs, drinking and partying at the age of 15. I was then hospitalised 3 times from the ages of 16- 25 for trying to take my own life. My mum helped and supported me and it still makes me so sad to think I was struggling so badly I felt that was my only way out. I’ve done well for a few years having my last relapse in January 2017 when I become overwhelmed with anxiety and depression and felt about ending my life every day for about a mouth. This was hard and this is when I put everything I had into my business picking myself up and trying to live my life happy. The last moment I felt like this I looked at my beautiful dog Trunks and cat Henry and thought I can overcome this! My life is worth living, it’s just a hard few days not a bad life and I remember everything is beautiful. I’ve overcome a lot and I just want to help people find peace with who they are. Every one had a story and a past and every one deserves to be happy.

What has been the biggest challenge you have faced in your life?

Overcoming the feelings of being so upset and feeling so trapped that I felt I could no longer be here.

How did you overcome that challenge?

Persistence, sticking it out, believe in myself, creating my own business putting all my energy into that and starting to help other people made me feel worthy and I slowly started accepting myself and understanding at some point every one isn’t ok. Life’s hard difficult and testing. But I can do it I knew I could!

What is the biggest lesson you have learnt?

Everyone has a story and everyone has a reason as to why they are the way they are. We each have a past but it’s how we move forward!

What would you tell your 15year old self?

It’s going to be ok I promise you! Life is hard it doesn’t get easier but you get stronger and you’ll be ok.

What is your biggest life tip?

Nothing in nature blooms all year round! Be patient and have faith that you will figure it out.

What do you think is the biggest issue facing women today?

Social media and people comparing themselves to others I know this because I live this! We live in a world we’re everything is presumed to be perfect! Nothing is perfect and we all excel and have different talents and looks for a reason. Self love has been lost and we live in a world trying to be everything but us! We need to change this!

What do you think is the biggest opportunity for women today?

Empowering one another, we can be anything in this day and age! We are incredible, strong and beautiful inside and out! We all inspire others without even knowing! Be you and be whoever you want to be!

Finish the sentence This Is me …I’m funny, quirky, self conscious, silly and at times hard to handle. But I have all the love in the world to give and I’d help anyone! I want to inspire self love and change.
